This was a great project for a couple of great homeowners in McKinney, TX. The project included a complete bathroom and closet demo including raising the ceilings. We also raised the ceiling in the master bedroom.
We started with one of the most interesting bathroom configurations that we have ever come across. The shower was in the center of the room with an opening on both sides, you could walk thru the shower to get to the other half of the bathroom. The ladies vanity was on one side of the shower with its own entrance from the bedroom and the vanity for the gentleman was on the other side, with an entrace.
Before the bathroom remodel, there were two entrances to the same closet - his and hers entrance so to speak. We think the concept was to make his and hers bathroom with the shower being the dividing line. It may have been good in theory but in reality, it made the bathroom feel choppy and strange.
