Standard on each mill is a high performance 4:1 reduction gear box turned with a high strength forged steel handle. Gears are not cast but are hobbled from solid steel. Each roll is precision machined from select grades of high density steel. The 4 square grooves form wire into a profile that is roughly square in profile. Wire so formed is then passed through a drawplate to create round wire or other wire profiles.
